The other is Preferred Provider Organization also known as PPO. Compare HMO with before you make your decision is a smart shopper’s first responsibility. PPO health insurance plans allow for more flexibility. In essence, a PPO health insurance plan provides you with a network of health care providers. These health care providers have been pre-negotiated in regards to the costs associated with your health care. PPO health plans if kept within the network are affordable. However, if you go outside the established network then your PPO health insurance plan will not cover you 100%. You must be very careful and make sure you are within the network.
