State Insurance Pool: In some states, anyone who can't get coverage must be covered in the high-risk pool. This varies from state to state, but its worth checking out.
Cobra: If you have left a company job (and that company has more than 20 employers and has supplied you with group coverage,) that company is required by law to allow you to continue your health care plan for up to 18 months. > 21% said that had a disability and 31% cited a long-term medical condition. More than half of the disable participants relied on Medicaid or Medicare. A third relied on private health insurance, and 10% had no coverage at all.
Join an Association: In some areas, the local chamber of commerce offers great individual health insurance options.
